The Columbia Wildcats basketball team scored 36 points and held the visiting Sumrall Bobcats to 34 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Purvis for a 4A Region 7 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Columbia will meet a Tornadoes team coming off a 38-34 non-league win over Sacred Heart (Hattiesburg, MS). The Tornadoes record now stands at 5-4.

The Bobcats (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against Salem (Tylertown, MS). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Salem was nudged by Lumberton (Lumberton, MS), 41-16, in a league contest.
