The Wilcox Central Jaguars basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Dallas County Hornets to 22 in the Jaguars league triumph on Friday.

The Jaguars now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Booker T. Washington Magnet for a 4A Area 5 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Wilcox Central will battle a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 91-16 league loss to Prattville Christian Academy (Prattville, AL). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 0-8.

The Hornets (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Maplesville (Maplesville, AL). The Red Devils enter the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Maplesville was routed by Jemison (Jemison, AL), 44-26, in a non-league contest.
