East Buchanan Bulldogs (Gower, MO) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Lathrop Mules (Lathrop, MO), 42-35 in a league bout.

With the victory, East Buchanan upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Maryville (Maryville, MO) to play the Spoofhounds in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Spoofhounds come into the bout with a record of 3-5. Maryville won 44-39 in their recent league bout against Lafayette (St. Joseph, MO)

Next up, the Mules play the University Academy Charter Gryphons (Kansas City, MO) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Lathrop will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Gryphons come into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 44-40 non-league win over Mid-Buchanan (Faucett, MO).
