Texas High School Basketball - Pharr-San Juan-Alamo can't hold off Economedes

The Economedes Jaguars basketball team scored 25 points and held the host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears to 19 in the Jaguars league triumph on Friday.

The Jaguars now sport a 16-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Edinburg for a 6A Region IV District 31 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Economedes will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 70-45 league win over Mission (Mission, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 20-7.

The Bears (4-10) will now prepare for their contest against La Joya (La Joya, TX). The Coyotes enter the 6A Region IV District 31 contest with a 7-14 record. In their last contest, La Joya nudged Edinburg North (Edinburg, TX), 49-40, in a league contest.
