In Friday's league outing, the Kelso Hilanders (Kelso, WA) basketball squad edged the host Evergreen Plainsmen (Vancouver, WA), by a count of 48-41.
The Hilanders (2-5) will now prepare for their outing against Hockinson (Brush Prairie, WA). The Hawks go into the non-league outing with a 1-8 record. In their last outing, Hockinson was tipped by Mark Morris (Longview, WA), 52-45, in a league outing.
The Plainsmen now hold a 9-4 record. They play next when they travel to Mountain View for a 3A Greater St. Helens outing on Tuesday, January 10. Evergreen will clash with a Thunder squad coming off a 64-31 league loss to Heritage (Vancouver, WA). The Thunder record now stands at 5-8.
