The Freedom Patriots basketball team (Morganton, NC), was toppled 47-37 in Friday's league battle with the host Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC)

The Panthers now possess a 14-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ashe County for a 3A/4A Conference 52 battle on Tuesday, January 10. Hibriten will confront a Huskies team coming off a 59-45 league win over Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 10-3.

The Patriots (9-5) will now prepare for their battle against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Spartans come into the 3A/4A Conference 52 battle with a 9-6 record. In their last battle, South Caldwell was toppled by Watauga (Boone, NC), 60-34, in a league battle.
