The Smethport Hubbers (Smethport, PA) basketball knocked off the host Galeton Tigers (Galeton, PA), 45-25 in Friday's league test.

The Hubbers (2-7) will now prepare for their test against Austin (Austin, PA). The Panthers go into the North Tier test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Austin went down by Otto-Eldred (Duke Center, PA), 53-11, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 0-9 record. They play next when they travel to Coudersport for a North Tier test on Tuesday, January 10. Galeton will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 49-24 league win over Cameron County (Emporium, PA). The Falcons record now stands at 8-2.
