Geffen Academy Bruins (Los Angeles, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hawthorne Math & Science Academy The Aviators (Hawthorne, CA), 48-16 in a league bout.

With the win, Geffen Academy upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Bruins travel to Bishop Conaty-Loretto (Los Angeles, CA) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 7-9. Bishop Conaty-Loretto lost 67-51 in their recent non-league bout against Shalhevet (Los Angeles, CA)

Next up, the The Aviators clash with the California Academy of Math & Science Rebels (Carson, CA) in a Coastal bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Hawthorne Math & Science Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 40-29 non-league loss to Bolsa Grande (Garden Grove, CA).
