Gervais Cougars (Gervais, OR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Regis Rams (Stayton, OR), 54-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Gervais upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Cougars host Kennedy (Mt. Angel, OR) to play the Trojans in a 2A Tri-River bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 2-9. Kennedy lost 52-14 in their recent league bout against Colton (Colton, OR)

Next up, the Rams play the Culver Bulldogs (Culver, OR) in a 2A Tri-River bout, on Saturday, January 7. Regis will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 46-19 league loss to Santiam (Mill City, OR).
