Gramercy Christian Warriors (Newport, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Jacksonville Christian Academy Conquerors (Jacksonville, NC), 36-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Gramercy Christian upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Warriors travel to Community Christian (Wilson, NC) to play the Cyclones in a non-league bout on Friday, January 13. The Cyclones go into the bout with a record of 0-7. Community Christian lost 50-26 in their recent non-league bout against Southside Christian (Clayton, NC)

Next up, the Conquerors play the Mount Calvary Christian Academy Warriors (Hookerton, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Jacksonville Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 6-9 record after their 45-16 non-league win over Bethel Christian Academy (Kinston, NC).
