Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Grayslake North Knights (Grayslake, IL) and the visiting Lakes Eagles (Lake Villa, IL), saw Grayslake North's basketball squad knock off Lakes by a tally of 42-30.

With the victory, Grayslake North improves its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Knights host Woodstock North (Woodstock, IL) to play the Thunder in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 9. The Thunder come into the challenge with a record of 5-7.

Next up, the Eagles play the Grant Community Bulldogs (Fox Lake, IL) in a Northern Lake County challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Lakes will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 6-11 record after their 37-25 league win over Round Lake (Round Lake, IL).
