Humboldt Wildcats (Humboldt, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Webster City Lynx (Webster City, IA), 58-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Humboldt upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Wildcats travel to South Central Calhoun (Lake City, IA) to play the Titans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 7-1. South Central Calhoun won 78-51 in their recent non-league bout against South Hamilton (Jewell, IA)

Next up, the Lynx play the Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS (Clarion, IA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Webster City will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 48-27 non-league win over Hampton-Dumont (Hampton, IA).
