Georgia High School Basketball - Pike County can't hold off Jasper County

The Jasper County Hurricanes basketball team scored 42 points and restricted the host Pike County Pirates to 36 in the Hurricanes non-league victory on Friday.
The Hurricanes now sport a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greene County for a non-league contest on Friday, January 13. Jasper County will battle a Tigers team coming off a 57-53 non-league win over Putnam County (Eatonton, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 8-7.
The Pirates (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against Mary Persons (Forsyth, GA). The Bulldogs come into the AAA Region 2 contest with a 15-1 record. In their last contest, Mary Persons edged Lamar County (Barnesville, GA), 40-37, in a non-league contest.
