The John Hancock Academy Rebels basketball team (Sparta, GA), was overwhelmed 48-19 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Thomas Jefferson Academy Jaguars (Louisville, GA)

The Jaguars now possess a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gatewood for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 10. Thomas Jefferson Academy will battle a Gators team coming off a 35-34 non-league loss to Edmund Burke Academy (Waynesboro, GA). The Gators record now stands at 9-3.

The Rebels (0-8) will now prepare for their battle against Twiggs Academy (Jeffersonville, GA). The Trojans come into the non-league battle with a 4-4 record.
