The Newberry Academy basketball team (Newberry, SC), was overwhelmed 36-13 in Friday's league battle with the visiting King Academy Knights (Batesburg, SC)
The Knights now possess a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pelion for a non-league battle on Monday, January 9. King Academy will confront a Panthers team coming off a 51-22 non-league loss to Swansea (Swansea, SC). The Panthers record now stands at 7-6.
The (2-10) will now prepare for their battle against Wardlaw Academy (Johnston, SC). The Patriots come into the SCISA A Region IV battle with a 8-3 record. In their last battle, Wardlaw Academy trounced Cambridge Academy (Greenwood, SC), 34-32, in a league battle.
