Nederland Bulldogs (Nederland, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lee Ganders (Baytown, TX), 41-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Nederland upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX) to clash with the Eagles in a 5A Region III District 17 bout on Friday, January 13. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 21-5.

Next up, the Ganders clash with the Crosby Cougars (Crosby, TX) in a 5A Region III District 17 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Lee will attempt to upgrade on its 0-14 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 13-13 record after their 44-27 league win over Goose Creek Memorial (Baytown, TX).
