With the win, Van upgrades its record to 13-2 on the season. The Vandals host Athens (Athens, TX) to play the Hornets in a 4A Region II District 16 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 2-13. Athens lost 70-25 in their recent league bout against Brownsboro (Brownsboro, TX)

Next up, the Panthers play the Lindale Eagles (Lindale, TX) in a 4A Region II District 16 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Mabank will attempt to upgrade on its 14-12 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 47-31 league loss to Van (Van, TX).
