Mount Vernon Knights (Mount Vernon, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Mamaroneck Tigers (Mamaroneck, NY), 39-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Mount Vernon upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Knights travel to Binghamton (Binghamton, NY) to clash with the Patriots in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 0-4. Binghamton lost 49-47 in their recent non-league bout against Middletown (Middletown, NY)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Arlington Admirals (LaGrangeville, NY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. Mamaroneck will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
