McDonogh Eagles (Owings Mills, MD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Mercy Magic (Baltimore, MD), 74-27 in a league bout.

With the win, McDonogh upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Eagles travel to Rutgers Prep (Somerset, NJ) to play the Argonauts in a non-league bout on Sunday, January 8. The Argonauts go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Rutgers Prep won 74-46 in their recent non-league bout against Gill St. Bernard's (Gladstone, NJ)

Next up, the Magic play the Pallotti Panthers (Laurel, MD) in a IAAM A bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Mercy will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 67-42 league win over Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Baltimore, MD).
