Monticello Magic (Monticello, MN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host North Branch Vikings (North Branch, MN), 63-25 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Monticello upgrades its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Magic host Becker (Becker, MN) to play the Bulldogs in a AAA Section 5 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 6-2. Becker won 76-33 in their recent league bout against Big Lake (Big Lake, MN)

Next up, the Vikings play the Little Falls Flyers (Little Falls, MN) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 9. North Branch will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Flyers come into the bout with a 1-6 record after their 56-46 non-league loss to Milaca (Milaca, MN).
