In Friday's league outing, the Oxford Academy Blackhawks (Oxford, NY) basketball squad felled the visiting Sidney Warriors (Sidney, NY), by a margin of 52-34.

The Blackhawks (8-2) will now prepare for their outing against Walton (Walton, NY). The Warriors go into the Section 4 Midstate outing with a 8-2 record. In their last outing, Walton thwarted Unadilla Valley (New Berlin, NY), 50-39, in a league outing.

The Warriors now own a 6-2 record. They play next when they host Franklin Central for a non-league outing on Monday, January 9. Sidney will clash with a Purple Devils squad coming off a 66-37 league loss to Cherry Valley-Springfield (Cherry Valley, NY). The Purple Devils record now stands at 2-7.
