Varsity Opponent (, ) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Paideia Academy Knights (Knoxville, TN), 49-18 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Varsity Opponent upgrades its record to 76-247 on the campaign. The travel to Horizon Christian Academy (Cumming, GA) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 12-1. Horizon Christian Academy won 53-39 in their recent non-league bout against Fideles Christian (Cumming, GA)

Next up, the Knights play the Tennessee School for the Deaf Vikings (Knoxville, TN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Paideia Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 44-12 league win over N.C. School for the Deaf (Morganton, NC).
