Rural Retreat Indians (Rural Retreat, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Patrick Henry Rebels (Glade Spring, VA), 26-18 in a league bout.

With the win, Rural Retreat upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Indians travel to Holston (Damascus, VA) to clash with the Cavaliers in a Hogoheegee bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 3-7. Holston won 49-35 in their recent non-league bout against Grayson County (Independence, VA)

Next up, the Rebels clash with the Northwood Panthers (Saltville, VA) in a Hogoheegee bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Patrick Henry will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 0-10 record after their 62-24 league loss to Lebanon (Lebanon, VA).
