Texas High School Basketball - Plains can't hold off Ropes

The Ropes Eagles basketball team scored 46 points and held the host Plains Cowboys to 45 in the Eagles league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 20-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lorenzo for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 10. Ropes will battle a Hornets team coming off a 45-8 league win over Southland (Southland, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 12-8.

The Cowboys (19-4) will now prepare for their contest against Post (Post, TX). The Antelopes enter the 2A Region I District 5 contest with a 0-15 record.
