California High School Basketball - Sage Hill over Portola

January 6, 2023: Irvine, CA 92618

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Sage Hill Lightning (Newport Beach, CA) and the host Portola Bulldogs (Irvine, CA), saw Sage Hill's basketball squad overcome Portola by a tally of 66-58.

With the victory, Sage Hill improves its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Lightning travel to Etiwanda (Etiwanda, CA) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 14-0. Etiwanda won 72-21 in their recent league challenge against Chino Hills (Chino Hills, CA)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Northwood Timberwolves (Irvine, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Portola will attempt to improve on its 14-5 season record. The Timberwolves come into the challenge with a 13-5 record after their 44-35 non-league loss to Woodbridge (Irvine, CA).
