Valley Center Jaguars (Valley Center, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting San Dieguito Academy Mustangs (Encinitas, CA), 39-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Valley Center upgrades its record to 9-10 on the season. The Jaguars travel to San Pasqual (Escondido, CA) to play the Golden Eagles in a Valley bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a record of 5-11. San Pasqual won 45-23 in their recent non-league bout against Tri-City Christian (Vista, CA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Mission Vista (Oceanside, CA) in a Avocado bout, on Tuesday, January 10. San Dieguito Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The go into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 48-42 non-league win over Helix (La Mesa, CA).
