The St. Helens Lions (St. Helens, OR) basketball nipped the visiting Seaside Seagulls (Seaside, OR), 39-34 in Friday's league test.
The Lions (4-9) will now prepare for their test against Scappoose (Scappoose, OR). The Indians go into the 4A Cowapa test with a 4-8 record. In their last test, Scappoose was tipped by Astoria (Astoria, OR), 51-20, in a league test.
The Seagulls now own a 6-5 record. They play next when they host Scappoose for a 4A Cowapa test on Friday, January 13.
