The McEvans Warriors basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the host West Bolivar Eagles to 23 in the Warriors league victory on Friday.
The Warriors now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Edwards for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 7. McEvans will battle a Tigers team coming off a 57-10 non-league loss to Clarksdale (Clarksdale, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 0-4.
The Eagles (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Simmons (Hollandale, MS). The Blue Devils come into the 1A Region 5 contest with a 13-1 record. In their last contest, Simmons triumphed over Humphreys County (Belzoni, MS), 58-26, in a non-league contest.
