South Carroll Cavaliers (Sykesville, MD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Winters Mill Falcons (Westminster, MD), 45-26 in a league bout.

With the win, South Carroll upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to Liberty (Sykesville, MD) to clash with the Lions in a Carroll County bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Liberty lost 44-37 in their recent league bout against Winters Mill (Westminster, MD)

Next up, the Falcons clash with the Mt. Hebron Vikings (Ellicott City, MD) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 9. Winters Mill will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 36-33 league win over Long Reach (Columbia, MD).
