The Alexander Central Cougars routed the visiting Ashe County Huskies basketball team by a final score of 47-25 in Friday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Cougars confront the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, January 10. Alexander Central will attempt to improve on its 8-0 season record.
The Huskies (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Hibriten trounced Freedom (Morganton, NC), 33-29, in a non-league battle.
