In Friday's non-league outing, the Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA), by a count of 48-21.
The Bears (9-1) will now prepare for their outing against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA). The Pioneers go into the non-league outing with a 0-6 record. In their last outing, Fort Chiswell was crushed by Galax (Galax, VA), 36-21, in a non-league outing.
The Blue Devils now hold a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to George Wythe for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 10. Grayson County will clash with a Maroons squad coming off a 41-6 non-league win over Chilhowie (Chilhowie, VA). The Maroons record now stands at 7-0.
