The Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) basketball felled the visiting Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA), 36-21 in Friday's non-league test.
The Maroon Tide (8-3) will now prepare for their test against Giles (Pearisburg, VA). The Spartans go into the non-league test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Giles was beaten by Narrows (Narrows, VA), 33-19, in a non-league test.
The Pioneers now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they host Bland County for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 10.
