The Albemarle Patriots basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Monticello Mustangs to 35 in the Patriots non-league victory on Friday.

The Patriots now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Harrisonburg for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 7.

The Mustangs (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA). The Flying Flucos come into the non-league contest with a 4-2 record.
