Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Oak Grove Grizzlies (Winston-Salem, NC) and the visiting Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC), witnessed Oak Grove's basketball squad crush Asheboro by a margin of 73-48.

The Grizzlies (9-2) will now prepare for their test against North Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Black Knights go into the test with a 9-3 record. In their last test, North Davidson was trounced by Montgomery Central (Troy, NC), 52-49, in a non-league test.

The Blue Comets now own a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Central Davidson for a test on Tuesday, January 10. Asheboro will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 68-42 league win over Ledford (Thomasville, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 8-3.
