Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Liberty Charter Lions (Lemon Grove, CA) and the host Bayfront Charter Sharks (Chula Vista, CA), saw Liberty Charter's basketball squad knock off Bayfront Charter by a tally of 42-30.

With the victory, Liberty Charter improves its record to 1-4 on the campaign. The Lions travel to El Capitan (Lakeside, CA) to play the Vaqueros in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Vaqueros come into the challenge with a record of 7-5. El Capitan lost 64-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Southwest EC (El Centro, CA)

Next up, the Sharks play the Ocean View Christian Patriots (San Diego, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 9. Bayfront Charter will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record.
