Bertie Falcons (Windsor, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host South Creek Cougars (Robersonville, NC), 70-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Bertie upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Washington County (Plymouth, NC) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 13. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 5-2.

Next up, the Cougars play the Riverside-Martin Knights (Williamston, NC) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 10. South Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 53-26 non-league win over Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC).
