The Central Cabarrus Vikings basketball team scored 44 points and restricted the host East Rowan Mustangs to 13 in the Vikings league victory on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Rowan for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 10.

The Mustangs (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against Carson (China Grove, NC). The Cougars come into the non-league contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, Carson was routed by Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC), 57-17, in a non-league contest.
