Hendersonville Bearcats (Hendersonville, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC), 37-31 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Hendersonville upgrades its record to 3-11 on the campaign. The Bearcats host Brevard (Brevard, NC) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Friday, January 13. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 9-2.
Next up, the Cavaliers play the R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. East Rutherford will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Hilltoppers come into the bout with a 1-9 record after their 56-37 non-league loss to Patton (Morganton, NC).
