Eastern Randolph Wildcats (Ramseur, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Uwharrie Charter Eagles (Asheboro, NC), 53-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Eastern Randolph upgrades its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Trinity (Trinity, NC) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 7-9. Trinity lost 52-46 in their recent non-league bout against Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC)

Next up, the Eagles play the Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Uwharrie Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 50-40 non-league loss to Wheatmore (Trinity, NC).
