The Elkin Buckin' Elks basketball team (Elkin, NC), dropped 48-36 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC)
The Rams now possess a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Stokes for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 10. Starmount will confront a Sauras team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC). The Sauras record now stands at 7-7.
The Buckin' Elks (5-6) will now prepare for their battle against Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Granite Bears come into the non-league battle with a 1-7 record. In their last battle, Mount Airy dropped by North Stokes (Danbury, NC), 72-55, in a non-league outing.
