West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC), 50-42 in a league bout.

With the win, West Stanly upgrades its record to 11-1 on the season. The Colts host Parkwood (Monroe, NC) to play the Wolf Pack in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Wolf Pack go into the bout with a record of 3-6.

Next up, the Yellow Jackets play the Central Academy Cougars (Monroe, NC) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Forest Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record.
