West Side Pirates (Dayton, ID) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Grace Grizzlies (Grace, ID), 58-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Side upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Pirates travel to Malad (Malad, ID) to clash with the Dragons in a bout on Thursday, January 12. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Grizzlies clash with the Oakley Hornets (Oakley, ID) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Grace will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 58-53 non-league win over Butte County (Arco, ID).
