Mariposa County Grizzlies (Mariposa, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Waterford Wildcats (Waterford, CA), 47-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mariposa County upgrades its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Grizzlies travel to Gustine (Gustine, CA) to play the Reds in a bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Reds come into the bout with a record of 2-4. Gustine won 71-26 in their recent league bout against Le Grand (Le Grand, CA)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Le Grand Bulldogs (Le Grand, CA) in a bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Waterford will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 53-38 league loss to Denair (Denair, CA).
