North Pontotoc Vikings (Ecru, MS) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Ripley Tigers (Ripley, MS), 4-3 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now have a 6-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Madison Central for a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. Ripley will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Florence (Florence, MS). The Jaguars record now stands at 10-4.
