The Altamont Knights basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Westminster School at Oak Mountain Knights to 55 in the Knights league triumph on Saturday.

The Knights now sport a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southeastern for a non-league challenge on Monday, January 8. Altamont will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 73-68 non-league loss to Appalachian (Oneonta, AL). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-11.

Next up, the Knights play the Vinemont Eagles (Vinemont, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Westminster School at Oak Mountain will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 10-8 record after their 56-39 non-league win over Cold Springs (Bremen, AL).
