Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Butte Bulldogs (Butte, MT) and the host Sentinel Spartans (Missoula, MT), saw Butte's basketball squad hold off Sentinel by a count of 57-56.

With the victory, Butte upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Flathead (Kalispell, MT) to play the Braves/Bravettes in a AA Western challenge on Saturday, January 13. The Braves/Bravettes come into the challenge with a record of 0-6.

Next up, the Spartans play the Capital Bruins (Helena, MT) in a AA Western challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Sentinel will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record. The Bruins come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 61-52 league win over Flathead (Kalispell, MT).
