The Lyon County Lyons (Eddyville, KY) basketball knocked off the host Christian County Colonels (Hopkinsville, KY), 66-49 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Lyons (15-1) will now prepare for their test against Crittenden County (Marion, KY). The Rockets go into the District 5 test with a 1-8 record.
The Colonels now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Henderson County for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 9. Christian County will encounter a Colonels squad coming off a 68-56 non-league loss to Bowling Green (Bowling Green, KY). The Colonels record now stands at 12-2.
