Kentucky High School Basketball - Christian Educational Consortium knocked off by Pikeville

January 6, 2024: Louisville, KY 40299

The Pikeville Panthers basketball team scored 80 points and held the host Christian Educational Consortium Cougars to 72 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Panthers now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Ridge for a District 59 contest on Tuesday, January 9. Pikeville will battle a Warriors team coming off a 69-65 non-league win over Belfry (Belfry, KY). The Warriors record now stands at 4-5.

The Cougars (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against Kentucky Christian (Lawrenceburg, KY). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 14-2 record. In their last contest, Kentucky Christian ran past Varsity Opponent (, ), 80-53, in a league contest.
