The East Providence Townies basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Narragansett Mariners to 47 in the Townies league victory on Saturday.
The Townies now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mt. Pleasant for a Division 1 contest on Monday, January 8. East Providence will battle a Kilties team coming off a 49-41 league win over Narragansett (Narragansett, RI). The Kilties record now stands at 4-2.
The Mariners (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Central (Providence, RI). The Knights come into the Division 1 contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Central was defeated by East Providence (East Providence, RI), 82-64, in a league contest.
