In Saturday's league outing, the North Warren Central Cougars (Chestertown, NY) basketball squad felled the host Fort Edward Flying Forts (Fort Edward, NY), by a margin of 51-40.

The Cougars (6-2) will now prepare for their outing against Hadley Luzerne (Lake Luzerne, NY). The Eagles go into the Section 2 Adirondack outing with a 2-9 record. In their last outing, Hadley Luzerne thwarted Salem (Salem, NY), 57-20, in a league outing.

The Flying Forts now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they host Argyle for a Section 2 Adirondack outing on Tuesday, January 9. Fort Edward will encounter a Scots squad coming off a 67-59 league win over Lake George (Lake George, NY). The Scots record now stands at 7-1.
